Hey there everyone. So for this update it is going to be a little thinner than normal as not a huge amount has been going on here at Omega Image Photography. Basically I have been in a holding pattern for a little while waiting on income flow to come in to make decisions on moving forward. I was looking forward and thinking about doing a bridal show in Wilkes-Barre in October but I have decided to take a beat and wait on that show for now. I am going to be attending the show with the same company just in a different location (Scranton) in January. The reasoning was simple, rather than extend myself a little too far to do both of the shows, I figured that I would choose one of them. The attendance is rated to be higher on the winter shows so that factored into the choice for that show instead of the October show. As well as the fact that the October show is far closer and I have a few things I am looking into tweeking for the bridal shows at my booth so a little more time is not a bad thing. 

The annual dog show that I shoot was a little more trouble this year with the hotel being very mistake prone this year. The hotel was informed of my room comp, but still hit my card for the charge. Thankfully I was heads-up and saw this in time to make the right people aware and get the charges pulled off the card. The actual show went off with very few problems, the signage is still causing some trouble but I think I can work around it with minor adjustments. The photos went off with less trouble than in the last couple years and as years pass and I gain the experience shooting in that scenario I am gaining the confidence to push even faster and move the people through about as quick as one person can. I still very much agree with the use of the info cards as the way to put the name out there as well as get the info in the hands of the exhibitors for retrieving their photos. They allow me to move quicker without having to muck about pulling all the info and names in between shots. Sales have been a little lackluster and down from last year which was in turn down from the first year. As a result before accepting this assignment again I am going to have to take a long look at if this is a show I want to shoot again. The surrounding parts are somewhat fun but waiting all day for 25 minutes of shooting is a little bit challenging. 

I was scheduling a model for a shoot after the dog show but she failed to respond in time for me to book everything else up for the shoot. So that shoot has been put on the back-burner until next spring at the earliest. I worked on the fireworks images and did a gallery cleaning and refresh so that the gallery is now refreshed with the new shots from this year. 

From here on in I am going to try and schedule a few other shoots and I am looking at working on the photo room floor as well. I would like to change the office/sales room floor as well. Other than that my plans are to continue to prep for the bridal show. Stay shooting my friends!
